Microfile has been in business since June of 1977 and started off with one microfilm camera and one microfilm jacket loader. In the early years Microfile provided services exclusivly to local hospitals, doctor offices and lawfirms. As the years past, Microfile has grown to providing customer support and management to over 500 customers in document imaging solutions which include document scanning and traditional microfilming.

One of a few HIPAA Certified companies for Document Destruction and having a level 3 Top Secret class paper shredder, you can count on Microfile with the proper handling of your secure files. Microfile also provides on site microfilm processing, which eliminates errors or loss of infomation by a second party film developers. (Companies that outsource their film processing do not get a HIPAA certification.) Documents that are scanned by our imaging services are also stored on encrypted hard drives and transfered to long term storage media in a closed netork environment. (No access to the internet or outsite cross networks where hacking of your data is possible.)

Microfile in St. Petersburg Florida:

Microfile is headquarted in Saint Petersburg Florda and has been a part of the Greater Tampa Bay Business Community with supporting of local social organizations and participating in many charity events. The offices in St. Petersburg house all of the micrographic services both 16mm and large format 35mm, most of the document scanning services, all micrographic film processing, all of the diazo duplication services, certified docuement shredding services, most of the data entry services, some of the information technology support, customer assistance and the executive officers.

Microfile in Miami Florida:

The Information Technology Development Laboratory is housed out of Miami Florida. Microfile's IT department consists of highly trained Microsoft Certified Professionals and application development specialist. The Miami location also designes and manages the website, Microfile.com and various other websites, which runs on a OC-48 fiber connection to the web located in the same facility as one of the Yahoo.com portals. We also rely on Savvis for our hosting and provide full SSL encryption for our online ordering system. All orders and credit card payments are secure for safety and security.
